Don't get it.......

and the relevance of this to a website for traditional Irish music is............... ????
You sure you're on the right website, "Music Borders" ?
{ I thought for a moment when I saw the title, it might have been the John Ellis Scottish Country Dance band, but on seeing the track lists and comments, I don't somehow think it is. ]

John Ellis

Even John Ellis Scottish Country dance band wouldn't have that relevant but more so than this. At least, he'd have included a few good tunes(albeit Scottish) on his CD.

Sorry if I’ve crashed an exclusive club, I thought it was all about music. John Ellis and his HIGHTLAND Band, he's a cousin of mine. Myself I am a long way from home (Vancouver Island) and including myself into Sessions Website felt like a visit to my homeland. If you have some spare time visit Music Borders and listen to a Scottish singer after he’s left his birth place behind you may change your mind, dig a little deeper, listen a bit harder and you might get it... Exclusive club?

Not really. However, this is primarily a tune site. Although, it is not made that clear, it is also mainly *Irish* traditional tunes.
Now, the term *Session* can mean many different things to different people and include various genres of music and song. Here, however, the general consensus is that the site relates to Irish music. That's not to say that Scottish and other tunes are necessarily excluded and they crop up regularly here. Likewise, we occasionally discuss traditional singers etc, even some singer songwriters get the odd mention.
However, it's mainly about tunes. There is also a link provided to the tune database from any tune titles listed in a recording submission. So, it just seems a bit odd to have a recording submitted featuring a Scottish singer songwriter.

There's no harm in submitting it, of course, but most of us here will be checking for recordings of tunes and, perhaps, trying to trace them in the database.
