Barry Kerr

Not a very well known player, at least I'd never heard of him, but I like his playing a lot. I've been listening to a lot of flute and pipes lately, and this is one of those lucky finds. You can get it through Spring Records (Colum Sand's label) or through Waterbug Records in the states (waterbug.com). I doubt you'll see it in the shops, but it's worth looking for.

Barry Kerr

Barry's from my home town (Lurgan, Co Armagh). He's connected with the family that run a pub "The Ceili House". Great player with a great future before him.

Barry Kerr (Acclaimed Flute player and Piper)from Belfast - Three sisters Album Download

Just for anyone interested. I have been on the lookout for a card copy of this album for some time now. Having not even heard it before. Anyway theres another discussion about that few days back.. I am reluctant to buy things from the internet and never even tried to buy music before..Went to Barry Kerrs website and decided to give the download a go..Both payment and download worked first time and without and difficulty. This is a Gem of an album and by all accounts very rare. This will blow your mind especially if you are a flute player, if like me you decide to download. This album should not be allowed to gather dust in the way it would seem it has. Apart from the playing of Brendan Mullholland or indeed Davy Maguire, I have never encountered a style, ornamntation and energy quite like this. Maybe theres somthin in the air this part uv da world. Anyway, if like me you decide to download.
