This double CD contains 116 well known traditional session tunes (jigs, reels, polkas, slides, hornpipes, etc) arranged in sets. All the tunes have already been published in Foinn Seisiún Book 1. Combined with the book it's a great aid for learning the music.
Just downloaded this CD off iTunes. You can buy each tune individually for 99¢ each - or all 120 or so of them for $10. Hurry now if you want to buy this collection, before the folks at iTunes get better at the math.
But beware: they're broken up into individual tunes, not as sets like on the original CD (or so I assume, not being an owner of the original) and the transitions between the broken apart sets are very abrupt. But for me, this is a CD for learning more than pleasure, so it doesn't bother me too much.
I bought my copy off iTunes - just make sure when you decide to burn a copy to disc that you set it up to burn with NO SECONDS between tracks - it will run smoothly then.

Tempo on Foinn Seisiún CD
In your (collective) experience, are the tempos of the recorded songs on the Foinn Seisiún CD about where you play these songs?
This CD is actually quite well done, btw.
Thanks,
Keyton
