I absolutely fell in love with Brian and his father Michael McNamara at the Catskills Irish Arts Week last week. They gave a lecture on the history of the music in their area, the southern part of Leitrim. Many of the tunes on the Cd are from the repertoire of the musicians in that area. Brian's playing is gorgeous, and a special treat was opening the liner notes and seeing that Grainne Hambly is playing along on harp on a few of the tracks!
