I've always had a soft spot for "Alias" Ron Kavana. This release on Green Linnet (GLCD 3070, 1992) is an exceptional album. Kavana is responsible for lead vocals, guitar, mandolin, mandola, bouzouki, tenor banjo, 5-string banjo, bones and bodhran and the album features guest appearances by Terry Woods (concertina, mandolin, backing vocals), Tomas Lynch (pipes, whistle, backing vocals), Mick Flynn (whistle, backing vocals), Ashley Dreese (fiddle), Kevin Rowsome (pipes), Alan Dunn (piano accordion), Rod Stradling (button accordion) and Fran Byrne (bodhran).
