I haven't heard this album but Julian's certainly a helluva good player. He's a member of The Kathryn Tickell Band and thus features on many of the albums in her name, or on which she performs.
I dare say the title is inspired by the novel "Accordion Crimes" by Annie Proulx, concerning the picaresque travels of an accordion as it passed from owner to owner somewhere in the North American continent...I must confess, I haven't read it.
This album is a constant feature on my MP3 player - it is brilliant. I hope someone will transcribe 'Secret garden' - the tune that goes before 'Taking the tent down'. It is a truly beautiful piece of music. I will keep trying to learn it in the mean time,
