I'm a jazz musician and I'm releasing this recording on March1st 2009
It's definitely jazz oriented, but in the flavor of irish/celt music. There are some old traditionals that I reharmonized and arranged, and some original that are somehow celt oriented...at least to my ears!
I hope that whoever will listening to it, will appreciate my tribute to irish music !
Sorry for the delay ! The instrumentation is:
Ada Rovatti :tenor/soprano saxophones
Janek Gwizdala : Electric Bass
Obed Calvaire Drums
George Colligan: Piano/ Fender Rhodes
Ivan Goff Uilleann Bagpipe and Pennywhistles
guests: Randy Brecker: trumpet and Adam Rogers: Guitar
If you are a purist of celtic/irish music you might not like this but if you are open mind and understand that is a personal tribute to Ireland and Celtic Music mixed with one of my favorite form of art that is Jazz you might dig it !
