Released by the English Folk Dance and Song Society in 1964 (EFDSS LP 1003), this was Doherty's first commercial recording and provides a melange of traditional tunes, a couple of songs and plenty of chat from the fiddler.

Why this has never been reissued on CD is a major mystery.

I should have added that the Folktrax cassette bearing the same title which is also listed here was actually released by Peter Kennedy without the permission of either Doherty or the EFDSS. It
