This was a recording by Alasdair Fraser in 1995 - I'm suprised nobody has added it already. All of the tunes on it are Alasdair's own compositions and several have become popular session tunes. I reckon this is one of the greatest CDs of modern Scottish fiddle tunes ever by one of the greatest Scottish fiddlers alive.
When I get time (ha) I'll try and add some of the tunes on the CD too.
I found this CD for sale in a charity shop for the princely sum of £1.50. I consider it my best buy of 2009. I had no idea what to expect but am greatly pleased with what I hear. Super playing, lovely sound, great arrangements and tunes of calibre.
I have already put Galen's Arrival with "The Barrowburn Reel". I think it is a fine companion.

MusicBrainz is a music database, sort of a next generation version of CDDB.
