"...GAEL-LINN are proud to present this album which is the first permanent record of one of the greatest and most original features of life in Ireland to-day"
Flea Ceoil: 33 1/3 cpn/CEF 013
Sorry but apart from the fact that the 'a' should have one of those fada jobs above it, that is the way it is spelt on the LP!
I was just starting on the Banjo when I spotted this LP in the early 70s.
It was on the Gael-Linn label but there is no date on either the cover or the Album, although the sleeve notes mention that the recording was actually carried out at a 'gathering' in Clones, Co Monaghan, in 1964.
From this, it might be safe to assume that the LP came out the following year 1965?
Tracks:
1 - Dawn Quartet
2 - Padraig Nugent agus Cathal McConnell
3 - Sile Ni Fhlatharta
4 - Micheal O hEidhin agus Seamus O Maolain
5 - Na deirfiuracha Grehan agus Fergus Cahill
6 - Na deirfiuracha Grehan agus Fergus Cahill
7 - Diarmaid O hIceadha
8 - Brendan McGlinchey
9 - Barney McKenna
10 - Maire Ni Dhonncha
11 - Sean Seery (Pib Uillinne)
12 - Fergus Cahill
13 - Cathal McConnell
14 - Padraig O Cathain
15 - Felix Doran
16 - David Hammond
17 - Banna Ceili

The musical flea? Does it play on a very small fiddle?

Is it possible to produce those fada yolks on an Apple Keyboard?
