"Lia Luachra" were :
Tricia Hutton - fiddle, cello
Shane Bracken - Concertina, piano and percussion
Declan Corey - mandolin, bouzouki
Jon Hicks - guitar , vocals
Some very good playing on this, a few traditional Irish tunes, but mainly recently composed tunes, some of them originals. As with so many other young groups from Ireland, - [ actually, not just Ireland ] the songs are not up to the high standard of the instrumental playing. A band I would have loved to have seen live.
There are 2 "hidden" tracks at the end of the final track, a slow air played on fiddle, and a slightly weird "funky" track, which sounds like it could have come from an episode of "Starsky & Hutch", [ at least until the mandolin comes in ].
