gravelwalks

My name is Chris.

My background is mostly bluegrass guitar, (frailing) banjo, and mandolin, but in the last 8 or 9 years I've been focusing more on the anglo concertina and accordion. The switch from strings to buttons has been.. a reorganization of sorts.

Speed has its moments, but I'm a sucker for funny old hornpipes, barndances, spooky mix. jigs which appear to be thinking between keys, and just about anything that loses its character if it is played too fast.

I wish more people would play the 'standards' in A or Bb.

I have two cats that snore, and a parakeet that never sleeps.
