I play fiddle, also guitar and sing. I'm a retired chemistry professor at the Univ. of Washington. I previously retired (early retirement buyout) from teaching chemistry for 28 years at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, and moved to Seattle in 1996.

I got into Irish music soon after moving to Seattle, and started playing in sessions in about 2000. Now my new career is as an unemployed (by choice) folk musician. I also play and sing at open mics in Seattle and have performed at the Northwest Folklife Festival.
