Derek - living in Whitchurch, Hampshire, England. I play Tenor Banjo, Mandolin & Guitar, mainly in sessions, and with a local group of musicians for occasional gigs with 'Colcannon'. I try to get to several festivals each year, and also like to look up sessions further afield when I'm working away, or on holiday. I play mostly Irish tunes and other 'celtic' music, with my favourite modern composer being John McCusker, who writes fabulous tunes faster than I can learn them. Also love Paddy Fahy tunes.
