Im an Aussie who has lived in the UK since 2000. Been playing bluegrass banjo since 1989, for a while in a band called "The Peel Valley Drifters" who were completely not famous! Also did my penance as "the banjo picker" in a country music band - glad thats over! Started on the Scottish smallpipes in about 1995 or so, and the Border pipes a few years later. Not from a highland background at all, my main interest is in the music of the Borders. I love but don't play the Northumbrian Smallpipes. Living in the South West now, and keen to get back into the music. all the best, Scotty
