I am an American living in Munich, Germany. I am mostly self-taught. After years of bouncing around between Irish and Medieval/Rennaissance music--I at one time used to play a rebec at an Irish session--I am presently playing a keyless Irish flute I got from Phil Bleazey. I play with several others in a very informal way and after 1 1/2 years consider myself still a beginner. I enjoy really traditional stuff and tend to wrinkle my nose when Irish bands try to sound like American folkrockblues. Purist!! But I try not to be too obnoxious about it.
