UPDATE JUNE 2010:
The Lone Star Leprechauns are now known as Flashpoint (hopefully a name change for the better!). Please check out our new MySpace page with sample audio files: http://www.myspace.com/flashpointtx
UPDATE OCTOBER 2009:
I now have a YouTube channel with a few videos of my playing. You can check it out at http://www.youtube.com/user/misterdaviddude. I've also begun playing with the Trinity Hall Session Players (http://www.thsessionplayers.info/) at the local Trinity Hall Irish Pubs.
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2009:
My brother Daniel, fellow The Session member Joseph (http://www.thesession.org/members/display/38352), and I started an Irish music band called the Lone Star Leprechauns. We've performed a few times in the north Texas area and now have a website: http://www.lonestarleprechauns.com.

Howdy! I'm David, a young musician residing in rural north Texas, USA. I've been studying violin since the summer of 2003 and for most of that time I've been playing Irish/Celtic music of some sort. I always enjoyed Irish music, but didn't get serious about playing it competently until my violin teacher started a session within her own studio, which showed me how much fun Irish music can be! Since then, which was back in the fall of 2008, I've started attending some of the other open sessions down in Dallas, TX and have been practicing Irish music fervently.
In addition to violin, I've played piano since 1998 and am currently teaching myself guitar. I also have considered saving up and purchasing my own tenor banjo. Beyond Irish music, I have, and continue, to help out with the music at the various churches my family has attended and have played sporadically for other events.
