After listening to trad my whole life, finally decided to pick up the whistle about 5-6 years ago....and have never looked back! Fortunately, I live in California in the San Francisco Bay Area, where there are lots of opportunities for session playing. I'm part of a regular weekly pub session, and we trade houses for "kitchen sessions" on Friday nights.
Although I love traditional tunes, recently discovered the Pogues....awesome!!
