I'm a harpist in the UK, close to London. I've spent many years learning other instruments but finally got to try the one I wanted in the first place and it clicked. Hurrah! Now I'm learning as fast as I can to get my fingers around those strings and see what lovely music I can make with them.
A big chunk of my formal study has been early music - it's got a lot of interesting similarities. I'm always interested in what's out there waiting to be found and played. Particular interests at the minute are trad irish (I want a wire strung... :) and breton folk.
