I live in Portland, Oregon, in the USA. I picked up the uilleann pipes while living in Malahide, in Fingal, north of Dublin. I studied with Bill Haneman at the Séamus Ennis Centre in the Naul, and with Maitiú Ó Casaide at Na Piobairi Uilleann in Dublin. I've had the good fortune to attend workshops with Leo Rickard, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Aoife Granville, Séamus Ó Rócháin, Mick O'Brien, and Paddy Keenan. I'll pass on the best advice I've had in a lesson to you for free: relax, and make it sound like music. I play a 3/4 set made by Andy Faden.
