I started playing trad music in the early '70s and cut my teeth at the grand old session at Wilde's Irish Ale House in NYC: rare old times! I moved to Boston in 1978 and spent another 5 years playing at Timmy and Tom's in Allston and the wonderful session at the Village Coach House. Then "real" life interposed, and while picking up the flute from time to time, I didn't attend another session until...October 2008. Mostly I play flute and whistle, sing the odd ballad, and have been known to terrify fellow musicians with my bodhrán attempts. I live with my wife and two hunting dogs near Haverhill, MA.
