Carmel Gunning who comes from a musical family in Sligo has produced many top class students who themselves are teachers and performers all over the world namely Liam Kelly, Kate Forde Aisling McPhillips and Olivia McTernan.
She is the director ofQueen Maeve International Summer School Festival held annualy in August in Sligo town Ireland.
Carmel has represented Sligo and Ireland at many Festivals worldwide teaching and performing in Return to Camden Festival England and Goulburn Festival Australia to name but a few.
She also provides tutorials for MA and BA music students in Limerick University.
