JohnnyVillain

Hello all :)
I'm a Digital Art Instructor at Chico State University. My first exposure to music was playing in various punk rock bands way back in highschool all the way up through college where I first really became acquainted with good Irish tune music and immediately fell in love. Being that I was a drummer and a singer in the bands I went after the bodhran and have been playing solely it for about 7 years now.

I've played in various sessions throughout California but here in Chico our home session is on Friday's at Duffy's Tavern. And yes, coming from a punk background, I like good fast driving tune sets and a good steady flow of pints... I'm in this for good tunes, good times and good people >:D

Inspirations include Llan de Cubel (Fansu rocks), Altan, Lunasa, Flook, Colm Murphy, Danu, older Solas, too many fiddlers to name... basically if they can rip a great set out.. I'm in.
