The Lonesome Bowman

Fiddler/tin whistler from the Bronx, NY. Spent much of my younger years doing the competition thing and now these days I have the pleasure of playing in two two very different but equally fun groups here in NYC. One is called Shilelagh Law (mostly Irish pub type singalongs----in the style of the Clancy Bros. www.halfthebottle.com) and the other is called Jameson's Revenge which is mostly trad...(in the style of The Bothy Band www.jamesonsrevenge.com). I'm just here to trade ideas with other like-minded folk who basically want to have as much fun with the music as possible. I'm no purest here. Quite the opposite actually. If everyone played the same way how dull would the music be? We can all learn from eachother, take what we've learned and make our own little niches with the tunes. Sure, isn't that what the music is all about?
