Toirdhealbhach

Started in 70's, playing Highland pipes with MacNish Distillery (Gr 1), Clann na Gael and City of Detroit Pipe Bands (Gr 2) but retired in '97 for lack of time.

Al Purcell helped me get going on the uilleann pipes in late 70's. Played with many local Detroit musicians over the years. Currently perform with Finvarra's Wren Band.

Love Breton Bagad bands, 78th Fraser Highland pipe band, Liam O'Flynn, Séamus Ennis and piobaireacht. Nothing like playing the flat pipes (Rogge) and performing with my children who are also trad musicians.

Tired of overly complex tunes played too fast. Enjoy playing old-time trad tunes that attracted me to trad Irish music in the first place. Johnny McGreevey never minded playing piping tunes all night. Síochan
