Hi session.ogres,
I am originally from northern Germany and now live in North Carolina. I play bouzouki and fancy myself a fairly proficient bodhran and bones player as well.
My favorites are Sirs Irvine and Lunny (of course), Alec Finn, Manus Lunny, and Dave Richardson.
My favorite albums would have to be 'After Hours-Bothy Band', 'Parallel Lines - Irvine/Gaughan' and pretty much anything Boys of the Lough, Planxty, DeDanann, Sweeney's Men or Stockton's Wing. Lately, I have really enjoyed listening to Julie Fowlis.
