I play guitar and bouzouki and can make semi-melodic noises with a whistle.
I've played guitar for 20+ years, and my instruments of choice are a Taylor 514ce and a Fender Stratocaster (my baby for Surf music).
I've played bouzouki for a couple of years and have a Morgan Monroe factory made bouzouki and the latest addition to the stable is a Phil Crump B-1.
My experience with Irish and Scottish music was limited mostly to listening for many years until I finally got a bouzouki, but I love the instrument and the music and am keen to learn.
