I spent a few years in the 80's playing mandolin and pennywhistle in the Salem Country Orchestra north of Boston, MA. and got pretty good at the New England contradance repertoire. I moved to New York City in 1991 and started playing the Irish flute in 2002. I took some lessons with Bill Ochs (whom I recommend) and now have learned ITM ornamentation style and lots more tunes. I like to play in sessions whenever I can.
