35 year-old beginner / intermediate player from central Florida, USA. Have played guitar for ~18yrs.; also play a little didgeridoo, hand-percussion (djembe, dumbek, learning bodhran) and am learning whistle / flute. Kind of a new arrival to the celtic / Irish music scene, though have had cousins on the competitive dance circuit. Am hoping to branch out in this area and meet people / find sessions; apparently Comhaltas has a chapter in Clearwater / Tampa / St. Petersburg (why is everything 2+hrs each way and never Fri. or Sat.)...?!
Have been collecting tunes from this website into printed volumes (primarily Irish, w/ some Scot, Breton and misc.) for those occasions when computers aren't convenient (when is that, you say!). I've completed 2006, 2005 and 2004. Feel free to contact by email if interested in a TOC for any / all that I've completed.
In addition to collecting tunes from anywhere / everywhere online, I've also been arranging ITM for fingerstyle guitar in EADGBE tuning and even occasionally penning a tune.
