Free Reed

Started musical life as a drummer in a Pipe Band/Fife & Drum/Brass Bands then Ceili and Dance Bands. Started playing a two row Black Dot in about 1953. Played for a time in Ceili Bands. London based for over thirty years and played the pub and club scene on both instruments. Also played with a London based Scottish Band before packing up the box and going off playing drums with various jazz and middle of the road outfits. Now in my seventies, I moved back to Ireland in the nineties. I teach both Box and Drums, I play a Shand Morino 3 row. mostly for pleasure.
