Im in my mid 40s, live in Limerick in ireland. My musical background was mainly classical guitar and piano, but about 7 yrs ago I started playing traditional Irish music, on the banjo and more lately the tin whistle and the fiddle (picking it up as my daughter is learning it...). May also start playing the flute....but banjo definately my main instrument.
I dont have many tunes listed in my tunebook on this site, as I do all my learning by ear, and by ear, I mean either listening to CDs, from my teacher, or at sessions. I dont download tunes from this or any website as my reading is not good and my PC does not have speakers! Im not really technical at all so messing around with software or hardware is not my scene at all.
Apart from music my interests are swimming (Im a masters swimmer and compete regularly) and triathlons and reading, as well as my children of course.
I love this website and check it out every day, Ive learnt a lot from it!
