Beginning whistle player since about 1970, beginning flute player since mid-2007. Can pick through a few tunes on mandolin. In the past played bodhran tolerably well (that is, they didn't hide the empty seats). Flute seems to be what suites me. I probably listen to more music from Scotland and north-east England than from Ireland.
