Been messing with a whistle since about 1970, beginning flute player since mid-2007. Can pick through a few tunes on mandolin. In the past played bodhran tolerably well (that is, they didn't hide the empty seats). Flute seems to be what suites me, not quite session-ready yet but getting there. I probably listen to more music from Scotland and northern England than from Ireland. When feeling bloody-minded I enjoy playing irish tunes with a bouncy english rhythm.
The versions of tunes I am familiar with always seem to be in the comments so...
