My name is Fred, I live in Nantes, south Brittany. I play the fiddle, and also the viola. My repertoire is mostly Breton music (I'm member of Talar, a fest-noz band) and Irish music (that I play in sessions and with some Irish musicians who lives in Nantes, in a band called Mister Midnight).
I have also a great interest for other trad' musics that I have less the opportunity to practice : Scottish, Swedish, Finnish, and North American tunes. I like listening "pure" trad-roots style of fiddling (Tommy Peoples, Caoimhin O Raghallaigh, Oisin McDiarmada,...) , as well as new inventive fiddlers (Darol Anger, Eileen Ivers, Theo Paige,...) !
