I try to play the Irish fiddle. I mean, it's a bit more than trying and a bit less than playing. :)
I am Hungarian (living in France) so it is definitely not my own tradition. I think I have to be very humble and have to make a constant research in the roots and the sources of this music. I'm not very interested in new bands and "mixed" Irish music (trad+jazz, trad+rock, trad+ethno-world music...). I absolutely dislike 7/8 compositions in Irish music though I love Bulgarian and Serbian stuff! But I can enjoy a big variety of styles in a nice, friendly, welcoming session.
