I live on an island off the coast of Maine, a 15-minute ferry ride from Portland with my youngest child (11), two cats and a puppy; and although I have played piano and guitar since I was a kid, I rarely play 'out.' I play the pennywhistle a wee bit.
About three years ago, I lucked into a 28-string, lever harp and have slowly been teaching myself how to play it.
I'm a writer and a sometimes teacher of college English & history -- adjunct, which means part-time and low-paid. I love to play Celtic, Greek and Mid-east and Latin music.
