Been playing for 40-odd years in, at the last count, 70-odd countries around the world - semi-professionally on occasion, but the day job is engineering.
Personal tastes are hard core and purist. I don't argue though - I take the view that those as will come to the core will come, and those as will not, will not.
My own formation was East Galway, but I am specifically interested in regional styles & I shut up and listen when I hear a particularly good exponent of any. Fascinating stuff.
