Retired Scots-Irish-German-American 66 year-old former civil service worker; avid music listener and performer; classical guitar experience for 40 yrs but don't think I'm great; I'm not by a long shot. Just took up steel-string (dreadnought) in November 2006 and loving it; it feeds my desire to play Celtic tunes. Have usually kept a daily journal; in a gap right now but will take it up again. Am experienced cyclist, with 14,000 commuting miles in usually rush-hour Kansas City traffic. A slight stroke put a stop to that; I could probably take it up again but...somewhat scared. Like to cook, see good movies, read good books, visit with good friends; I'm lucky to have some of those!
