I live in Citrus Heights California (near Sacramento). I've played guitar for about 30 years. Just started playing mandolin about 1 year ago. Play with a few friends who are all good musicians but just learning Irish/Celtic music. We get together and do slow sessions about three or four times a month. I'm also a choir director for a Catholic church in North Highlands Ca. I've just recently adapted some Celtic tunes into a mass. I borrowed "When I Followed A Lass" and "Jock O'Hazelden" as the basis for the melodies. I also play bass and 5-string (bluegrass) banjo. Just started learning fiddle this month -- figure I need something to really humble me.
