My grandmother's cousin was Kitty Linnane, the former leader of the Kilfenora Ceili Band. My grandmother never met her (I think), though I did briefly once. That makes me third cousins with Siobhan Peoples, though I have never met her, and may never. I'm sure she would think it no great loss:}
I'm an ESL teacher, and I use learning English to greater understand learning music and vice versa.
