Ger the Rigger

Fiddler from the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney in Australia. I play a 150 yr old old fiddle that used to belong to my grandfather. It looks awful, with rotten lacquer, repaired cracks and so on, but plays itself. I also play piano and assorted cutlery and household objects such as spoons, bodhran, knives and forks. My day job is running a free legal service for people in social and economic disadvantage.

Not been very successful at submitting new tunes as so many seem to have been done before (certainly the paltry few I know!), but have submitted many transcriptions from recordings of tunes already posted, including

John Doherty's a la Paddy Glackin: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/2120

College Groves a la Kevin Burke:

Also posted one of my own: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/6563
