I live in the United States and I've played fiddle for approximately 7 years, mando for about 1 year. I play Irish, Scottish, and Cape Breton styles, in addition to bluegrass, old-time, Texas breakdown style, with some dabbling in such things as swing, Cajun, and gypsy/klezmer. Go to sessions and music festivals whenever possible, but spend the majority of my playing time in my room practicing.
