Hi I'm from West London, been playing the fiddle for a few years but not in a very concentrated way, ie, one evening class (very good class run by Laurel Swift, English fiddler) per week and often not playing in between times due to lack of time. Have just dropped to 3-day work week and got re-enthused by holiday to Ireland, learning traditional Irish with Gill Newlyn (Kerry Fiddles). Would like to become good enough to play in sessions and perhaps for dancing, in my wildest dreams, although our evening class band sometimes plays for workshop dances with the help of Laurel, which are great fun. I just love the music and being around it all; folk clubs, listening, chatting, learning and playing. Gill
