I’ve been learning ITM going on about five years. Play mandolin, some bouzouki & whistle--and recently have taken on tenor banjo too. Enjoy all forms of ITM I’ve encountered; I especially like listening to the recordings of Planxty & Bothy Band. I struggle with the usual learner’s questions, such as how to play faster without losing too much precision (or, if you prefer, “without getting too sloppy”). I live in Los Angeles, California, where I regularly attend a slow session and have started visiting the occasional fast one as well.
