I was searching for some information regarding bouzoukis and octave mandolins and I came across you fascinating site with such a vast array of topics and interests. I play mandolin, guitar and piano, and a small group of friends get together two or three times a month to play celtic and old time music in Lawrence, Kansas. I have been thinking about buying either a bouzouki or an octave mandolin, and I found the information at your site very useful. I haven't really found any local instruments to play so I am hampered a bit about chosing one. I have been lurking on your discussion groups--I could spend hours on there. I can't imagine ever finding a tune to submit that you don't already have. I want to thank you for having such a wonderful site with so much information.
