Mark Harmer

I live in Gloucestershire, UK and run the online shop http://www.danceofdelight.com - mainly specialising in violins and accessories, including a range of tuners, rosins, strings and Incredibows.

I worked in the BBC for 23 years in radio and TV and have edited more speech, music and drama, in more languages, that most people have had cold Guinnesses!

I'm also a member of "Slainte" http://www.celtmusic.co.uk/body.htm, which is a 7-piece band.

I play the harp and have four of them: a celtic gut-strung, a wire-strung, a paraguayan nylon-strung and a 3/4 pedal harp. I have run music workshops for Morley Harps and at the Stamford International Harp Festival.

My videos are on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=MarkHarmer and now also (WAY better video quality) at http://stage6.divx.com/user/Mark_the_Harp

I left the BBC in June 2006 and finished my MSc in organisation consulting at Ashridge. I'm now exploring different ways of working with organisations using music and creativity techniques and am interested in sustainability - both in the environmental sense and in the sense of people continuing to work in new ways in organisations. Currently I'm helping people use TV in new ways, and have started doing a few projects in High-Definition.

I have a blog at http://www.yourmusic.biz
