Originally from Belfast, but living on the north-west coast of Tasmania since 1986. Played in sessions and a number of very forgettable ballad groups in Belfast in the 70's. Have recently revived an interest in Irish music. Played in my first session in about 28 years quite recently and have been practising furiously since, so I don't embarrass myself so much next time. Play mainly tenor banjo and mandolin, but love "doodling" on my mountain dulcimer.
