I'm a 16 year old fiddler from Hawaii-soaking up as much of the celtic music scene as I can--I'm currently in a group Celtic Waves that plays in pubs and I'm in I've started a contra dance band Wiskey StarShip...I've grown up in the Irish Tradition but after seeing Alasdair Fraser and Hanneke Cassel play I'm making a left turn into the world of Scottish music. I'm currently forming a Scottish band-the 1st Scottish Band on the island that is needed so very desperately. I listen to any type of music-Besides my obession with Celtic music I listen to The finest in Micronesian doo-wop, Appalachian mambo, Turkish mariachi, pygmy yodeling of Baltimore, Portuguese juju, Cajun gamelan, tuba choirs form Mozambique, Inuit marching bands, Filipino free jazz, Egyptian kabuki theater, and throat singers of the Lower East Side.
