I've been playing the Irish flute for 3 years, and have played renaissance and baroque music for 30 years or so . Playing ITM I've met very kind people who have been supportive when there wasn't much to support. This makes a pleasant change from many previous things I've tried to learn. Learning by ear, and having the tunes by heart, instead of by head, has been the biggest challenge.
