Hello!

My name is Kathleen Lavengood, and I am the director of the Augusta Heritage Center (www.augustaheritage.com). We are based in Elkins, West Virginia, and we host folk music courses throughout the summer, including Irish Week.

I am an Ethnomusicologist (PhD, Indiana University), a violinist (MM, BM), and a fiddler. Cape Breton was home for a year during Fulbright research on music and tourism, but I also play bluegrass and oldtime.
