I'm a Canadian with no Celtic connections (apart from first wife and my Irish Water Spaniel named Guinness) who was deeply involved in the British Folksong Revival (the 60's/70's one) before discovering dance tunes.
After fifteen years in London, I am back in Vancouver. I play mandolin and tenor banjo and occasionally think about recovering my long-neglected guitar skills.
I tend to play at sessions which encourage a mixture of songs and tunes; and belong to a ceilidh band made up of ex-morris dancers. Don't ask.
English/Scottish/Irish leanings, not necessarily in that order.
Tunes in oldstrings's tunebook: 49
